kung hindi niyo naitatanong, mahilig ako magsulat ng kahit ano.

The poem is written in my vernacular language - Filipino. To be honest, I find it very challenging to write in my own language since my vocabulary is very limited, and thus, I lack concision and precision when i use it. But, I would really love to be fluent in it.

English translation of the poem:

The door is open
Not to
let you in
but
for me to see
the world
outside the room
i cant
escape.

That is why
I also cant
blame you
for entering
because I realized
that you are just
curious
of the world
you haven't seen.

But I am reminding
that I did not invite you
and the only reason
that you are
still here
is not because
I invited you
but because
I am open
to anyone.

I don't know how to ask someone to leave
I know how to let go
I dont close doors
because I await
the world
that is only seen
from this room
and my doors
that serve as windows
from the world
that I cannot escape.

So don't you be wondrous
of why you are here
remaining
because I suspect
you are also gazing
through the door
and also cannot escape
the world
that has always been open.
